SENIOR CAPTAIN’S CHARITY 2023/24
My chosen Charity for the year ahead is Motor Neurone Disease Association and specifically the local support group for North Lincs and North East Lincs.
Most of you will know that one of our members was diagnosed with this disease earlier this year and many too may know of someone else who unfortunately has developed MND.
Sadly MND is a life-shortening and incurable disease which can affect up to 1 in 300 people.
The local support group aims to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers.
And nationally the MND Association is the only charity focused on MND care, research and campaigning.
Captain’s Charity Day on 4th June 2024 will again be a Traffic Light Scramble competition which proved a success this year and there will be plenty of other opportunities during our competitions and events for us to raise funds for the Charity.
All the money generated will go directly to the MND Association locally and I hope you will continue to be generous with your support.
Thank you
Chris
